This is probably just a easy answer on this, regarding reclaim space in vmware
Storage: HP 3par SSD and FC
setup: thin prov
LUN 6 2TB datastore
Vmware ESXi 5.1.0 799733
Vmfs: 5.58
Block size 1MB
All vm storage setup: Thick Provision Eager Zeroed
Do I need to do some kind of reclaim of space in any of this cases
- Delete a 100 GB files in a virtual Windows server?
- Delete a 100 GB virtual machine in vmware?
- Moving VMs with vmotion
I have google it but vmware are always talking about thin provision VMs
